If you’re planning an event, there are many things you’ll need to manage. Porta-potty placement might be the last thing on your mind. However, it’s an important feature at any event. We’re here to help you out by sharing the best practices for porta potty placement and the benefits of getting it right.
tep 1 – Layout Considerations
It’s best to avoid placing all your portable toilets in one area. To avoid unnecessary traffic, spread the toilets out so that guests have easy access to them from various locations at the venue. In particular, you should ensure there are at least a few porta-potties located near the food and drink areas, especially if you’ll be serving alcohol. When considering porta potty placement, keep in mind that all portable toilets have to be placed on stable, level ground, and in well-lit areas. Furthermore, take into consideration the fact that the service truck has to be able to come within 40 feet of each unit.
Step 2 – Handwashing Stations
We recommend placing a handwash station near every porta potty. It’s also a good idea to position a few near the food and drink area, so that your guests can wash their hands before eating. You may also want to put one at the entrance to the event, so your guests can sanitize their hands as they enter. Learn more: Portable Handwash Stations Reduce Spread of Germs
Step 3 – Crowd Control
The positioning of porta potties is an essential factor in preventing crowding. You don’t want your event to get congested with guests attempting to get to a washroom. Spread the porta potties out so that you’re sure that everyone can get to one easily, no matter where they are in the venue. Additionally, make sure people don’t have to walk against traffic or cut through busy areas in order to get to one. Keeping these things in mind will ensure that your event runs smoothly.
